Answer: When asking Alexa to disarm your system, you must use the PIN number you had to create during setup. -

Does the basestation make a siren noise if the alarm is triggered?
Answer: Yes it does. It has a volume setting and by default is set to 75%. You can also get it to make a noise if motion is detected or a door/window opened. -
Question:
Will I be able to use 1st gen components like motion detectors?
Answer: Yes, you can interchange all the 2nd and 1st gen contact and motion sensors. -
Question:
Are the motion detectors just detectors or cameras?
Answer: Just what they say they are... motion sensors. No cameras. -

Do I have to purchase a Ring Doorbell?
Answer: The 5 piece kit does not include a Ring Doorbell, but works perfectly well without one. -
Question:
Can the base pad be manually deactivated when entering my property and if so, how many seconds would I have to deactivate it?
Answer: The alarm can be manually deactivated in the traditional manner with the alarm keypad. The default entry delay is set at 60 seconds, but can be set at 0, 30, 45, 120 or 180 seconds as well. -
Question:
Does the system reset itself after a power cut or especially internet loss if we were away on holiday?
Answer: Everything is either battery powered or battery backup so power cut is not an issue. For Internet outages, it will reconnect when everything comes back up. If you subscribe though, you also get 3G/4G backup so it will never actually lose Internet. -
Question:
Since one can arm and disable through the app, is there a need for a keypad?
Answer: I suppose technically you don't need the keypad. But what if your phone signal is down or too weak or if you lose your phone then you would have a problem. Nice to be able to use the keypad for exit and entry knowing you have the preset delay for exiting or entering. -
Question:
How long will the batteries last if there is no power?
Answer: 24 hours is noted in the instruction. -
Question:
What happens if Mr. Burglar manages to cut your mains power off, will this still work? Also, if your router loses connection, will it still work?
Answer: The base station has a battery backup so the alarm remains active if mains power fails. However, mains powered cameras will not work. If the Wi-Fi goes down, cameras will fail but the alarm system will remain active locally, although you will not be able to monitor on your phone.
