Hear Every Nuance The A4V monitor incorporates ADAM Audio's acclaimed X-ART tweeter handmade in Germany, providing lightning-fast transient response and clear, detailed highs. For controlled dispersion, it's enclosed in a rotatable HPS (high-frequency propagation system) waveguide made from an innovative glass fiber polymer. Broad horizontally yet tight vertically, this proprietary waveguide technology delivers consistent highs regardless of positioning. Simply rotate the tweeter 90 degrees to maintain precise propagation whether you position the A4V horizontally or vertically. The tweeter's transient precision reveals the finest nuances, while the waveguide projects a wide, enveloping soundstage. Deep, Authoritative Lows To complement the pristine highs, the A4V woofer produces clean, impactful bass courtesy of ADAM's proprietary Multi-Layer Mineral technology. The rigid, lightweight woofer cone consists of a specialized blend of mineral fibers baked together in layers optimized for each driver size. This innovative technique eliminates partial vibrations for low distortion. Combined with a high-power magnet system, the 4 woofer generates a surprising amount of output and authority from a small speaker. Hybrid Amplification Balances Power and Efficiency To unleash the full potential of its transducers, the A4V employs a hybrid amplification system that combines the best of digital and analog technology. The woofer is driven by a robust Class-D amplifier chosen specifically for its impressive power, efficiency and linear response. This allows extended output while reducing distortion. The tweeter uses a smooth, natural-sounding Class AB amp tailored precisely to the high frequencies. Together, these amplifiers supply the A4V with ample headroom and dynamics. DSP Enables Advanced Tuning and Upgradability Digital processing enables the A4V to have advanced functionality. The onboard DSP offers extensive tuning options to compensate for room issues, including four bands of EQ for bass, mids, presence and treble. Preset voicings provide a neutral Pure setting ideal for mixing or a musical UNR curve suited for enjoyment. Via Ethernet, the A4V White integrates with ADAM's free A Control software for real-time adjustment from your listening position. The upgradable firmware also supports third-party room correction from Sonarworks.
