The BDS PP-31 Green Digital Audio Spectrum Analyzer Display 1U Music Spectrum VU Meter 31 Segments is an excellent rack-mounted audio visualization display that moves smoothly and has attractive motion. The sensitivity and brightness control both work according to reviewers, and it is versatile with in's and out's (XLRs or RCA's). It is great as a light show and visually capturing for its worth. It is not a professional device but is perfect for the sound system display as it is accurate. It is expensive but worth the money. However, the device cannot be used as an RTA for room EQ, with a mic input, a ref mic input, or pre-gain adjustment. The device passes the audio signal even when turned off, with both RCA and XLR connections, but the passthrough outputs turn off too. Although the LED colors cannot be changed, you can adjust the sensitivity and brightness. It is not possible to switch the display between left and right signals without two devices. It is recommended for use with one source on any receiver with inputs.
