Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What are the main features of the Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan?
Answer: The Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan features a unique design focused on reducing noise, making it ideal for quiet builds or environments. Its anti-vibration fan mounts minimize vibrations that can lead to additional noise. Additionally, the fan delivers effective airflow while maintaining a low RPM, ensuring efficient cooling without disturbing ambient noise levels, making it perfect for gamers or professionals who value a serene workspace. -
Question:
How does the anti-vibration mounting system work?
Answer: The anti-vibration mounting system uses rubber mounts that absorb vibrations generated by the fan. This prevents noise from transferring to the chassis, which can otherwise amplify sounds. By using these mounts, the fan maintains a quieter operation, ensuring that your setup remains peaceful, whether you're working on important tasks or indulging in gaming marathons. -
Question:
Is the Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan compatible with all PC cases?
Answer: Yes, the Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan fits standard 120mm fan slots, making it compatible with most PC cases. Regardless of the case manufacturer, if it has an opening for a 120mm fan, you can easily install this model. Its versatility allows users to enhance their cooling systems without concern for compatibility issues, whether upgrading an existing setup or building a new computer. -
Question:
What is the airflow rating of this fan?
Answer: The Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan is designed to provide optimal airflow, typically rated around 50-60 CFM. This level of airflow is sufficient for maintaining ideal temperatures in both CPU and GPU areas, especially in systems that demand high performance. Whether you’re a casual user or an avid gamer, this fan helps ensure that all components operate efficiently without overheating. -
Question:
How can I determine the right number of fans for my build?
Answer: Determining the right number of fans involves assessing your system’s components and thermal requirements. As a general rule, ensure you have an intake and exhaust setup; typically, one fan at the front and one at the back works well for balanced airflow. For high-performance builds, consider additional fans for extra airflow, particularly if utilizing powerful CPUs or GPUs. This enhances overall cooling efficiency and system longevity. -
Question:
Does this fan come with a speed controller?
Answer: The Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan operates at a fixed speed designed for low noise output, so it does not come with an integrated speed controller. However, you can connect it to a motherboard fan header that supports PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This allows your motherboard to adjust fan speeds based on temperature, optimizing cooling without compromising silence. -
Question:
Can I use this fan in a liquid cooling setup?
Answer: Yes, the Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan can be integrated into a liquid cooling setup. While it is mainly intended for standard air cooling, it excels as an additional fan for radiators in AIO (All-In-One) liquid coolers, helping to dissipate heat efficiently. Its quiet operation ensures that even with added fans in a liquid cooling configuration, your system remains unobtrusive. -
Question:
How do I install the Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan?
Answer: Installing the Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan is straightforward. Begin by aligning the fan with the designated mounting holes in your case, ensuring the airflow direction is correct. Use the included screws or anti-vibration mounts to secure it in place. No special tools are required for installation, making it accessible even for those new to PC building. -
Question:
What color options does this fan have?
Answer: The Nexus Real Silent 120mm Fan is available in a sleek black and white color scheme. This aesthetic makes it a stylish addition to any system build, especially for setups focusing on a clean and modern look. Its color choices also allow for seamless integration into various case designs, enhancing both performance and visual appeal. -
