Graphic Novels Editorial Review
The Doom Patrol Omnibus is hailed as a must-have for fans of the Doom Patrol series, especially those who are familiar with Grant Morrison's run. While it is acknowledged that the television show heavily influenced the book, readers are forewarned that the comic is more connected to the greater DC universe. The printing quality of this omnibus is praised, with perfect printing, a well-bound spine, and an attractive cover and dust jacket. However, it should be noted that the book is quite heavy. Grant Morrison's storytelling shines in this run, with reviewers praising the trippy and psychedelic nature of the stories. Some readers even admitted to having to reread parts multiple times to fully grasp the intricacies of the narrative. The artwork is also highly appreciated, with the pages being described as thick and glossy. Despite the higher price point, readers comment that the book is worth it for the unique and original experience it provides. In fact, some even Consider it one of the best books they have ever read. Overall, The Doom Patrol Omnibus is a highly recommended read for fans of the series who enjoy mind-bending storytelling and unique artwork.
