This device is designed for 12V systems up to a maximum voltage of probably 16V. The device is capable of transferring up to 25-30A of current between the input, battery, and output terminals. It does not have a maximum input current limit. However, there is no voltage regulator in the PWRpath, which is merely an automatic switch between two DC power sources. The PWRpath regulates the charge voltage below that with no ability to adjust, making it fixed too low for some battery management systems. While the device is solidly built, the accessory power pole housing is a knock-off and does not fit well. Several customers have reported that they cannot get the terminals to seat correctly in the housings. There are reports of noise in certain frequencies when charging the battery. Some users have reported that this noise can be mitigated. However, this device is very affordable but not as durable and trustable compared to other expensive PWRgate options available in the market.
