Answer: The spray on engine cleaner effectively breaks down and loosens grease, oil, dirt, and grime, making it easier to remove. -

Answer: While the spray on engine cleaner is designed for engines, it can also be used on other parts of your vehicle that require deep cleaning. -

Is the detail brush included with the spray on engine cleaner?
Answer: No, the detail brush is not included. It can be purchased separately or used with any suitable brush for agitating the cleaner. -

Does it smell like gasoline like other products?
Answer: No, it doesn’t. It has a pleasant smell like a general purpose cleaner and works well too. -

Can this be used in a parts washer for degreasing?
Answer: While it did a great job of cleaning engines, it is not recommended for use in a parts washer for your purpose. -

What parts should you cover prior to washing or using this product?
Answer: If you have an older car with a distributor cover it, also cover the alternator, fuse box, and disconnect the battery. Avoid spraying the battery. The product is best used by hosing down the engine the night before to get off surface dirt with griot's car wash, and the next day when it is dry, use the engine cleaner and agitate it with a boar bristle brush, hose it off good, and dry with a microfiber towel. Also spray it with their engine detailer an wax the painted parts. -

Will this work in a foam cannon on a pressure washer?
Answer: I have never done that, but it should work. -

Does it come with a spray trigger?
Answer: No, it does not. -

I have oil all over my motor and it is burning and making fumes. Can I just spray this let it set and wash with hose after covering vital components?
Answer: I have never had a problem. It is advisable to run the engine while spraying off the cleaner (not before) to avoid any problem. Well-maintained cars will prevent problems. -

Do you run the engine when spraying?
Answer: No, the engine is not running when you apply the cleaner or hose it off. -

Should I avoid any areas in the engine bay when using this? and will this strip paint if it was used on painted areas?
Answer: I have used this product in all areas of the engine bay without any problems. Avoid spraying the battery, but that's it. This product has not damaged any painted finish. Griot's products are exclusively used for cleaning cars. -

Is it safe for aluminum engine?
Answer: I use it on cast iron. Nothing on the bottle says anything about not using it on aluminum. -

Do you add water or used as is?
Answer: Use as it is and do not add water.
