BIC Glide Bold Retractable Ballpoint Pens are an excellent option for students and professionals alike. These pens have a 1.6mm point size and write cleanly and boldly. The larger than average point size allows for comfortable writing and it helps the handwriting to be more legible. In addition, their extra large ball produces smooth lines similar to a gel pen, but not quite as smooth. The pen is not a gel pen, but something BIC calls Easy Glide ink. It writes very smooth, however, it tends to glob up at times which can result in smearing. The phenomenal feel and look of the bold lines is worth the trade-off for some.
