The MartinLogan Motion 4i speaker is the latest model in MartinLogan's Motion speaker line. It is a bookshelf speaker that delivers great sound quality and has ribbon tweeters that hit highs very well. These speakers are compatible with 4/6/8 ohm receivers and are 4 ohm speakers. However, they don't work well in a bookshelf environment and virtually have no low-end punch. They are perfect for small to medium spaces, or situations where you may not have space for tower speakers, or trying to keep a minimal profile but have quality sound. They are ideal components of a 5.1 surround sound and a 7.2 setup using six of these speakers sounds fantastic. The mid-range is lacking a bit with the current setup, and buyers may need to play around with the placement to achieve the right balance.
